I’d heard nothing about this film (and still haven’t) until I followed your link Rainfall. (maybe because in the UK we have to wait so much longer for films to come out). But from the look of the trailer, I love it! Looks like it’s going to be a great one… I particularly like the links to all the “other” websites, really warms me to the film – builds up the intrigue. hmmmmurrrr ??

Nice one, Rain. That trailer's got me interested too, and it was scored by the 2nd best film composer working today, Mr. Jon Brion.
I might see an advanced screening of it in the next week, I'll post the dirt if I do. (That and the beach might be the only two advantages of living in LA rather than England.)

Nice one Rian! Actually, Rain also lives in LA although she is from New Zealand. This is such an international forum.

I've been to LA, and in my humble opinion, your beaches arn't worth staying away from Englalnd for...!
I've never been to england, but there is a chance that i agree. but then maybe i'm not giving this wee portion of the west coast enuf ova chance, i mean i've really only seen the southbay, and my general distaste may come from the memory of beaches at home and the fact that when my brother gets out of the water after surfing here his skin in darker than it was when he went into the water...there's something not right about having to wash of the dirt you picked up by being in the water. mmm, feeling sort of homesickish, or just not completely cheerful, but maybe it's becouse the fridge at work is broken and i still ate the sushi i had in there...best go have a ciggie.

Hm... well never been to those sunny seasides that Britian is famous for. I don't know where you got your photos of the balmy UK beaches, Anna, but after plenty of web searching for various tourism sites, these were the only ones I could turn up: (evidently the water's a tad brisk) Much more in keeping with my image of a day at the British seaside. All my illusions are now destroyed. First I find out Santa isn't real, now I find out Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang are not what life is like in England. Next someone will tell me that everyone in China is not jumping around doing kung fu like Jackie Chan!
