it can't be that easy, there's got to be some kind of collateral involved surely?

that's what I was hoping for. Brill. see y'all (sometimes, as gramatically incorrect it is, "y'all" just flows into one of my sentences. I could help it, but I don't want to) in a week.

Rain and Rian: regarding the Depthford Trilogy:
Thanks to your combined effort, especially to Rainfall for quite unexpectedly (though I should have expected nothing less, of course) delivering the first two volumes of The Depthford Trilogy.
And thanks to Rian, for making me want to read them in the first place by saying that he didn't really think people usually read books on recommendation. I hardly ever do read a book just on recommendation, but this time I did, just to spite him for suggesting so.
Rian probably had cunning enough to know reverse psychology would work on me. It always does. "God is alive!" - "I doubt it!"
"God is dead!" - "No he isn't!"
(That's what conversations with me are generally like: really annoying.)
I loved the books more than I feel up to writing down at the moment. I feel that I grew when I was reading them. Because I like to eat when I read, partially.

Rian: I haven't picked up World of Wonders yet, because I'm taking a break in the Depthford trilogy to read The Brother's Karamazov.
So I'll be picking up the Depthford trilogy by the time I'm about twenty-seven or so.

Things really kick into gear around page three and quarter. I'm sure that sometimes you are wrong but if anyone tells me so I think that, based on my experience, I will have to firmly abuse them and soapbox the fact that I have only ever found you to be always right (if I ever get to know you more this may very well change so I must advise you to abuse it while you can). I like Fifth Business and I like The Manticore...actually I rather like them alot. And while, at this point, I am only half way through, I like World of Wonders at least 8 times more than the other two combined. Superb. Absolutly friken awesome. I was so very happy to be back viewing the world through Dunstan's words. Good old chap. With a little bit of sneaky...

If ever I get a wife, Rain, I'm going to have you sit down and give her a little talk.
